Copper Bowl - VB3

£120.00

Hand raised copper bowl with patinated interior.

Hammer raising is an ancient technique that has been used to produce metal hollow forms for centuries, even with the introduction of alternative machine driven techniques it is still practiced today. It can be a time consuming process and takes years of practice to master but there are such beautiful qualities that just can’t be mimicked.

This patina has been achieved using vinegar and barley. The vessel is placed into an airtight container for up to two weeks. The process of patination is unpredictable and no two pieces ever come out the same. This makes every piece completely unique.

Please note: Colours may appear slightly different than the images.

Dimensions: D:95mm H:55mm

Weight: 99g
