Melissa creates these small copper pots usually in collections of either 3 or 9, which she curates during the making process. With these collections Melissa is playing with the idea of function, using various handles and the suggestion of a base or a lid, which on closer inspection are not what they seem. These are decorative collections to be enjoyed and stimulate a conversation.
